TCRP G-14 “Contracting Commuter Rail Services” is a current research project sponsored by the Transit Cooperative Research Program of the Transportation Research Board. The objective of this research is to provide guidance to public agencies and other key stakeholders in the contracting of commuter rail services.
The study team recently completed phase one, access the interim report here Contracting Commuter Rail Services: Interim Report.
The first task was to review previous research and available literature relevant to contracting commuter rail services. Task 2 documented how commuter rail services are currently provided by creating system profiles for all commuter rail services in North America. Task 3-5 identified commuter rail systems for in-depth case study research and documented results from case studies. The purpose of this web page is to make the system profiles and case studies available to the TCRP G-14 Panel.
